Orinda Rehabilitation and Convalescent Hospital is a 49 bed facility that provides both skilled nursing care and in house programs conducted by physical, occupational and speech therapists.
Recognizing the multitude of benefits of animal assisted therapy the activity staff at Orinda Rehabilitation and Convalescent Hospital has incorporated visits from Friendship Foundation aaa/aat teams in their program for many years.
Our monthly Saturday morning visits to the residents' rooms and the living room/dining room area enhance the quality of the residents' stay.
This is a good site for pets that enjoy meeting individuals for short duration, high quality visits as they move from resident to resident throughout the facility.
